Color me happy

Seriously. All of us, actually. The ever amazing Seth and Alicia arrived and are nesting below us. Living right beside family we love is a dream come true (for my little family, at least ;).

E and I were, once upon a time, neighbors to my parents. Loved it. Impromptu dinners and helpful hands that were always just a shout away? Can't be beat. We repeated this quasi-communal existence in Brooklyn with a lot of other loft dwellers and have been missing it ever since. Call us naturally tribal ;)

The kids couldn't be happier, either. These are two of P's favorite people Ever and he now sees them every day. Zia has quickly taken to them, too. She dances when she sees Seth :)

The backyard dinners we had dreamed of? Check. Stoop side evening beers? Check. Help hefting something heavy? Check. Garden partner? Check. Kids clambering on people that love them? Double check. Cousin on the way? (Happy squeals:) Check!

And filling out Z's doctor's form this week, I had an actual person to list for "family/friend contact in case of emergency.":). Life feels cuddly and safe. Ever the crazy, this achievement of near perfect living has me morbidly on the look-out for the catastrophe that Must be headed our way. Nobody can be this lucky.

Pics of happy kids. Park play. Z, doing her dance bounce while Seth serenades. P, (proudly) reading to his Aunt.
