Totem Beach

P admires this spot's crab shell find.

I think this was just after we crossed the border to California, but we weren't really keeping track of where we were ;)

P is really drawn to shrines, totems and nature objects, so the fact that someone had taken the time to collect the same things he was busy collecting and then make them into cool little sculptures... Well, that simultaneously shocked (who else collects stuff like me?) and thrilled (somebody else collects stuff and builds stuff like me!) him.

It was a beautiful, little spot.  But, at the time, our previous stop had been the endless, vacant, Collecting Beach, an absolute dream for the Little Man.  So, in comparison, this was just a nice beach, sporting only a few crab shells.  That day, we all laughed at how relative it all seemed.
